By a chance of fate,
Or By a gamble of luck;
 Neither too early nor too late,
He met her who left him awestruck.

She was chirpy, and he was flirty,
They played it safe, didn't talk much;
None’s sleeves got dirty,
Not much they spoke, nothing special as such.

They spoke better through messages,
And soon they were acquainted with each other;
Little did they know that their bond was to last for ages,
They found more common interests as their conversations went further.

She made an effort to find him the perfect match,
Found no one and ended up in a catch;
He somehow knew why,
It was her who made him love-shy.

Time went by as he tried to woo her,
Some disastrous lows their relation did suffer,
But as true love would have it by it’s way,
She would now love him come what may.

Rise Against The Tide!

Through an eerie night,
Shone the lighthouse, bright;
Rose the tides with all their might,
This lighthouse looked as haunting as its height.

The town lay still and there was no sign of life anywhere,
Deadly calmness and bodies of the dead lay everywhere;
Down came thunder and brought rain with it at once,
The silence was now broken and one could hear a few shuns.

Through the din of the rain, a boat washed ashore,
Out they walked, not knowing what they had in store;
The man and his child walked into the city with care,
Little did they know, they were walking into a living nightmare!

As they walked through the mess of the dead,
They weren't shocked, they were surprised instead;
Down through the streets they saw familiar faces,
At the bottom of his heart, he prayed and left his graces.

As they, together, walked into the church,
They found the father in shock and in lurch;
All he said was, ‘With the god’s law you must abide,
To survive, Rise against the tide!’

Living with mistakes!

‘Tis said, glory is nothing without pain,
‘Tis said, from greed one must refrain,
‘Tis said, harming another is a deadly sin,
But sadly, truth be, No one is another’s kin.

By faith, in one another we must keep trust,
By greed, our relationships rust,
By god, we pray for courage,
By Satan, on one another we inflict rage.

In a world with people so full of themselves,
Where kings barely meet their elves,
In a world like this,
There is no such thing as bliss.

In one man’s growth, lies another’s jealousy,
In one man’s failure, lies another’s ecstasy,
In victories and failures, and in truths a lies,
There still are souls which reach out to the skies.

With every step you take towards your ambition,
Up go the stakes,
One thing follows like tradition,
‘Tis nothing but, ‘Living with mistakes’

SuperHeroes

In a world, calm and still,
A gentle breeze is enough to break its harmony;
Even a slight chirp from a bird’s bill,
Disrupts the symphony.

We’ve all been trained in a way as such,
To obey the rules as much;
To not question what lies out of our authority,
As some preach their superiority.

In a world, such as this,
Those who think out of the box;
Always are subdued to a minimal hiss,
And are subjected to shocks and mocks.

We’ve all seen rises and falls,
As a survival thirst enthrals;
As a few rise up against all odds,
And turn all rejections into unanimous nods.

It’s not from the depth of the universe,
Or with the power of verse;
That these people rise,
We call them ‘Superheroes’ to surmise.

Distance Doesn't Matter

Truth is, there are no lies,
To each, his own opinion,
To each, one who follows, one who defies,
Truth is, the answer lies in oblivion.

On this earth, three kinds of people walk,
One who believe they are always right,
One who believe they aren’t right and can’t talk,
And one who won’t believe till they give a fight.

There is something however,
On which all kinds drool,
They’d do whatsoever,
Only one thing they’d all profess.

All believe that feelings are true,
Love, hatred, jealousy, guilt, happiness, sorrow,
All believe in yesterday, today, and tomorrow,
On feelings alone there is no curfew.

Many a thing tries to obstruct and shatter,
But there will always be people to defend,
And in the end,
‘Distance Doesn’t Matter’

Life without music!

I know that words can’t entirely express,
Those feelings which I try to suppress,
Yet I shall attempt to pen them down and try,
Though I in entirety, don’t know why.

Like winds are to sails,
Like success is to everyone who fails,
Like light is to the darkest thought,
Like peace is to every war ever fought.

Things elude our reach as we try to achieve,
The sense and sensibility is something harder to perceive,
The need for support is undoubtedly present,
The rhythm of life is infallibly effervescent.

Like passengers are to every journey,
Like mourners are to every loss,
Like the jury is to every attorney,
Like the workforce is to every boss.

Goals are to be met in the long rat race,
Many a happiness, Many a despair, you shall face,
Everyone is connected to one another infinitely,
The world’s a stage and everyone’s a family.

Without all of its imperfection,
Without all its sheen,
All it seems to be is,
Life without Music!
