Fingerprints

I walk this earth,
Not to span its extent,
Not to exploit its riches,
Not to get lost its wilderness,
Not to be fooled by its magic,
Not to be in awe of its mystery,
Not to be one of the many here,

I walk to set apart,
Not to be mistaken for someone else,
Not to be one of the many,
Not to be disheartened by the mob,
Not to let go of what means most to me,
Not to be too timid to make mistakes,
Not to be written off for being ordinary,

I walk to set a new trail,
Not to be fooled into following someone,
Not to be blinded by words that deceive,
Not to be isolated for being a dreamer,
Not to be disheartened by words of spite,
Not to be lost in a web of lies,
Not to be hunted down for aiming too high,

I walk this earth,
To make my way into it's culture,
To make my way into it's heritage,
To make my way into it's books,
To make my way into it's heart,
To make my name be remembered forever,
Not because I was different,
But because I was brave,
Brave to dream,
Brave to question,
Brave enough to want,
To want to leave my finger prints on history,
To brush off the dust of disbelief,

I walk, to be a story, a legend, a me.

Twisted

Maybe it is true, What they always said;
No matter how hard you try, No matter how far you go, You'll end up where you started, You'll end up doing what your destiny wanted.
In all this commotion, You'll feel the pull someday; You'll look back and see, And that's all it'll need to be.
You'll fall. You'll cry. You'll feel loved. You'll feel envy. You'll feel joy. You'll feel pain. At the end of it all, You'll feel.
Maybe it is indeed true, We're all connected, By strings invisible, Pulling us closer as we go farther, Maybe it is written, Whom we're tied up on the other end to.
Millions of people, Billions of strings, Some lead to multiple souls, But they're brittle and will break, You'll still feel a pull, Cause, You aren't done yet.
But when you really reach the strongest end, Your Thinking will bend, Your ways will mend, Your words will amend, Your faith will transcend, Two lives, into one, shall blend.

She

She’s a she, with all her wit,
And that my dear, is the beauty of it.

We under-estimate their capacity,
We blame them for insanity,
We forget they were who gave birth to humanity,
Yet, why treat them with disparity.

They are as smart as anyone,
They are loved by everyone,
They are the apple of everyone’s eye,
Yet, why greet them with a sigh.

They’re born with the capacity to bear,
They’re even worshipped everywhere,
They’re capable of every work,
Yet, why look at them and smirk.

They’re beautiful, no doubt,
They’re cute and pretty, no doubt,
They’re personifications of angels, no doubt,
Yet, that not the only thing they’re about.

She’s a she with all her grit,
And that my dear, is the beauty of it.

The Retreat!

They rode down like rain, But in vain; Tears filled their eyes with despair, Ahead, their hopes beyond repair.
No longer the sound of the war cry, Their sense of victory, now wry; Hopes were now inanimate, Their future now burning in the grate.
They toppled the kingdom, They won their freedom; But they lost their own blood, Houses burned down to the mud.
They wanted to be free, All they now had was eerie; Life riddled them a riddle, Their life was now a fiddle.

A little Something :)

While the world brought me down,
She brought me up;
She never let me frown,
When I lost control, she was my stirrup;

She loved me for all that I was, all that I am,
She stayed with me when I needed her the most;
She was with me, while I saw the world's sham,
She is my idol, my last recourse;

She understood, misunderstood,
She praised, chided;
She showered all love, showed all fury,
She is a mother like all, A mother like none

To my first teacher,
To my first love,
To all the times she put with my stupid behavior,
Thank you Mom! Happy Mother's Day

Never Let Go!

Broken, in turmoil,
Wriggling in lowly soil,

Fist clenched in disgust,
Heart full of distrust,

In the deepest darkness a wry smile,
Easily, love, it did defile,

Knees bent to the ground,
Her senses, her cry, did astound,

Staring at the skies,
To let go, her heart defies,

Her heart beat faster,
Her vision grew duller,

Snow fell; rain showered, but strong was she,
It didn't matter; black and white was all she could see,

She barked all day at the grave,
To accept the truth, she never did brave...

A Mission

The sword of justice, for long, has rusted,
We risked it all, and the wrong ones, we trusted;
Now that we've learnt, the truth has busted.

The eyes of law, for long, have been blinded,
Voices and opinions have been crushed and grinded;
It’s about time now, that Lady Justice woke up from the dead.

Faith, devotion and religion, for long, have been misused,
The iniquitous, hideous, nefarious have for long cruised;
It’s time we stood up, though broken and bruised.

For long, we've blamed the Diabolus Archfiend,
It’s time we realized it isn't the Satan, we’re the fiend;
All this filth has piled up on us, time it’s cleaned.

It’s not a greater tomorrow which we should envision,
The crime done is far beyond remission;
It’s time we washed our sins and woke up to a new inception.

‘We are our own gods; we are our own devils,
The day we get this, would be the end of all perils’

By a chance of fate,
Or By a gamble of luck;
 Neither too early nor too late,
He met her who left him awestruck.

She was chirpy, and he was flirty,
They played it safe, didn't talk much;
None’s sleeves got dirty,
Not much they spoke, nothing special as such.

They spoke better through messages,
And soon they were acquainted with each other;
Little did they know that their bond was to last for ages,
They found more common interests as their conversations went further.

She made an effort to find him the perfect match,
Found no one and ended up in a catch;
He somehow knew why,
It was her who made him love-shy.

Time went by as he tried to woo her,
Some disastrous lows their relation did suffer,
But as true love would have it by it’s way,
She would now love him come what may.

Rise Against The Tide!

Through an eerie night,
Shone the lighthouse, bright;
Rose the tides with all their might,
This lighthouse looked as haunting as its height.

The town lay still and there was no sign of life anywhere,
Deadly calmness and bodies of the dead lay everywhere;
Down came thunder and brought rain with it at once,
The silence was now broken and one could hear a few shuns.

Through the din of the rain, a boat washed ashore,
Out they walked, not knowing what they had in store;
The man and his child walked into the city with care,
Little did they know, they were walking into a living nightmare!

As they walked through the mess of the dead,
They weren't shocked, they were surprised instead;
Down through the streets they saw familiar faces,
At the bottom of his heart, he prayed and left his graces.

As they, together, walked into the church,
They found the father in shock and in lurch;
All he said was, ‘With the god’s law you must abide,
To survive, Rise against the tide!’

Living with mistakes!

‘Tis said, glory is nothing without pain,
‘Tis said, from greed one must refrain,
‘Tis said, harming another is a deadly sin,
But sadly, truth be, No one is another’s kin.

By faith, in one another we must keep trust,
By greed, our relationships rust,
By god, we pray for courage,
By Satan, on one another we inflict rage.

In a world with people so full of themselves,
Where kings barely meet their elves,
In a world like this,
There is no such thing as bliss.

In one man’s growth, lies another’s jealousy,
In one man’s failure, lies another’s ecstasy,
In victories and failures, and in truths a lies,
There still are souls which reach out to the skies.

With every step you take towards your ambition,
Up go the stakes,
One thing follows like tradition,
‘Tis nothing but, ‘Living with mistakes’

SuperHeroes

In a world, calm and still,
A gentle breeze is enough to break its harmony;
Even a slight chirp from a bird’s bill,
Disrupts the symphony.

We’ve all been trained in a way as such,
To obey the rules as much;
To not question what lies out of our authority,
As some preach their superiority.

In a world, such as this,
Those who think out of the box;
Always are subdued to a minimal hiss,
And are subjected to shocks and mocks.

We’ve all seen rises and falls,
As a survival thirst enthrals;
As a few rise up against all odds,
And turn all rejections into unanimous nods.

It’s not from the depth of the universe,
Or with the power of verse;
That these people rise,
We call them ‘Superheroes’ to surmise.

Distance Doesn't Matter

Truth is, there are no lies,
To each, his own opinion,
To each, one who follows, one who defies,
Truth is, the answer lies in oblivion.

On this earth, three kinds of people walk,
One who believe they are always right,
One who believe they aren’t right and can’t talk,
And one who won’t believe till they give a fight.

There is something however,
On which all kinds drool,
They’d do whatsoever,
Only one thing they’d all profess.

All believe that feelings are true,
Love, hatred, jealousy, guilt, happiness, sorrow,
All believe in yesterday, today, and tomorrow,
On feelings alone there is no curfew.

Many a thing tries to obstruct and shatter,
But there will always be people to defend,
And in the end,

Life without music!

I know that words can’t entirely express,
Those feelings which I try to suppress,
Yet I shall attempt to pen them down and try,
Though I in entirety, don’t know why.

Like winds are to sails,
Like success is to everyone who fails,
Like light is to the darkest thought,
Like peace is to every war ever fought.

Things elude our reach as we try to achieve,
The sense and sensibility is something harder to perceive,
The need for support is undoubtedly present,
The rhythm of life is infallibly effervescent.

Like passengers are to every journey,
Like mourners are to every loss,
Like the jury is to every attorney,
Like the workforce is to every boss.

Goals are to be met in the long rat race,
Many a happiness, Many a despair, you shall face,
Everyone is connected to one another infinitely,
The world’s a stage and everyone’s a family.

Without all of its imperfection,
Without all its sheen,
All it seems to be is,
Life without Music!

Justice

Its been an year now,
So here goes,
In a country with more people than its capacity to feed,
In a country where to buy anything, money is all you need,
In its very capital, a daughter lost her life, a brother lost his sister, and many lost a friend,
At its finest hour, marching against sexual exploitation was the trend,
Today, a year after the occurence if this tragedy,
Still many work in their own melody,
When will that one time come when a female is not considered a playtoy in the hands of a so-called superior male,
Till that stupid thought is lost to just a scary fairy tale which ran stale,
To her and many others akin,
Who were terrorized by those attracted only by the smell of the skin,
An apology is all that we can render, for we live in a world where people we know matter more than what we do,
But we all know that someday, this injustice, truth alone will subdue.
A rememberance. To all those sisters. And ti the one special Nirbhaya, whose life's loss will always be missed and the movement her death caused will not be a one to be ever forgotten.
#JusticeForAll.
#Justice for all the cases
not considered

Silent Truth!

Every journey has a destination to be reached,
Every sermon has a lesson to be preached;
In every quest there is something to be found,
In every prayer is the wish to be safe and sound.

In every test a result awaits,
In every death are wreaths and crates;
Not every inspiration is out of desperation,
Not every challenge is a test to aspiration.

In every lie, the truth is crushed,
In every adventure, adrenaline is rushed,
Every day has a right to test,
Every person has to put a problem to rest.

Every journey has an origin,
Every sermon has hearts to win,
In every quest there are twists & turns,
In every prayer, the heart yearns.

Take my breath away :)

Over the horizon of hope,
They rise, Your glistening eyes...
 Impresses everyone akin,
 Your glowing radiant skin...
 So much partiality, it’s unfair,
 You're blessed with silken hair...
 You play with the tempest and the fragile,
 You've got the best, a Smile...
 Great is your sense of maturity and gratitude,
 You're the perfect blend of ego and attitude...
 Talented, you are, and good at art,
 You're tender and loving with a kind heart...
 To praise you, come together, every rhythm and rhyme,
 You're rare and sophisticated, not dozen a dime...
 But what can I say? Baby, YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY!

The ideal man!

On a bright sunny day,
To my garden, I made my way;
There, I sat on my chair,
And pondered on how life is unfair.

Many a day, I spent like this,
Many an opportunity, I did miss;
Oh! I miss those days of action,
Oh! I miss that stress and traction.

I thought of my younger days,
Those green fields, those bright sun rays;
Days before we went to war,
Rains came down, and thunder like Thor!

In the battlefield, we fought for people unknown,
As bullets came raining down, one was on his own;
People jumped around, with the heat of explosives,
Smiles of our families were our only incentives.

We killed, and got killed,
We were the sword, we were the shield;
We fought till we had the last man standing,
We won, but we ended up losing.

The ideal Man!

Be the man that the world would love to be,
Be the change the world longs to see;
Be the thought that would let you free,
Be the feeling that leaves you eerie.

Let nothing in the world fear you,
Let no problem burden you;
Let no enemy harm you,
Be the one, the world looks up to.

Be the light that enlightens the path,
Be the one who withstands fury hell hath;
Be the adventurer, who treads new roads,
Be the one who admires the world, its odes.

Let no harm come your way,
Let no condition force you to stay away;
Let no tempest shake your life and make it sway,
Be the one, who wouldn’t for happiness or glory, but for courage pray.

Be the one, who stands up for justice,
Be the one, who hath no pride or prejudice;
Be the chance no one would want to miss,
Then, whoever you are, wherever you are, your life will be in bliss.
